These innovative reading rulers come in a variety of colours and are made from a combination of opaque and transparent plastic that both underlines text and highlights it in a coloured tint. Each ruler has two tinted plastic strips. The narrow strip highlights single lines of text (10mm) and the broad strip allows for scanning ahead in a paragraph and for studying diagrams (25mm). Originally developed for children with scotopic sensitivity, these colour overlay rulers have proved popular with children from a range of special needs including dyslexia, ADHD and autism. They will fit easily into a pocket of pencil case, or can be kept in the pages of a book as a bookmark, they are discreet and not childish-looking. Simply read the text through either of the tinted plastic strips of your selected colour, and track down the page: broad strip for paragraphs; narrow strip for single lines.
