Visual Supports

Many people with disabilities have strong visual skills and people with autism spectrum disorders are often described as visual learners. Visual aids can help them understand the message.

Over 20 years ago, Robinson-Wilson (1977) demonstrated that sequenced pictures could help people with disabilities follow picture recipes based on previously published cookbooks.
